I just arrived from work and found a dead Vireo on my deck. I think a Blue-headed.
If someone would like it, please let me know asap how to best preserve it.

Bob,
Thanks for being conscientious enough to collect this bird! Just put it in a plastic baggie, trying to keep feathers in good order. Write down on a piece of paper what kind of bird it is, your name, address, phone, and the circumstances under which you found the bird, and the date. Put both items in another plastic baggie & put the whole shebang in your freezer until bird can be transferred to Geier Center. See private email I sent to you for futher "instructions."
