does anyone know if there is a "lights out" program for downtown buildings in Cincinnati? there is a post on Indiana birdingonthenet about Indianapolis program.

As an amateur astronomer, I'm all for lights out programs, as well!

Go for it!

Sounds like a natural campaign and would raise people's understanding of birds, migration, habitat, etc. in general.

I like the idea. First thing is probably to assemble convincing evidence that turning down the lights reduced mortality.

Don't know the literature, but shouldn't be hard especially considering radio tower work.

in addition, it would be a GREEN thing to do....
but I wonder about aviation and if there are
issues with flights...
