Horned Larks at Spring Grove?

So I was birding the section at Spring Grove Cemetery where all the crossbills were last year and I hear a Horned Lark flyover. It didn't occur to me as being too odd since I heard a few flyovers (I have eBird records for 1 bird on both 2/1/09 and 2/7/09) there last year during the crossbill invasion. But then I got to thinking how kind of out of habitat Spring Grove is for HL especially for the section I was in though I did hear another flyover later on at the northern boundary of the cemetery where it's more open. So I checked the cincinnatibirds.com database and there's ONE record for HL at Spring Grove from December 1981.

So I decided to check the database for American Tree Sparrow records at Spring Grove since I've heard ATS make very similar HL-like sounds at Armleder this year. But there's only FIVE records, though a bit more recent, for ATS at Spring Grove.

I'm mostly inclined to trust my ears especially since there aren't too many Tree Sparrow reports for Spring Grove either. But it makes me feel pretty weird to be the only other person in the database to have heard Horned Larks at Spring Grove in the past 28 years.

So, do you have any records for Horned Larks at Spring Grove that haven't been included in the database (Christmas Count data maybe?)? How unlikely do you think it is that I heard them there? And if at least possible, why aren't there more records in the database? Have you heard/observed Horned Larks in other somewhat unlikely places? Is there another candidate for a Horned Lark-like sound that I'm not thinking of that might be more probable?

I'd appreciate your insights. Thanks.

My only comment would be that I, too, have been confused at Armleder this year by the similarity of some ATS calls to those of HL...
